" I love it here in Sunnyside, and we're seeing some real miracles with the people that we've found and are teaching".

HERE"S AN EXCERPT FROM ETHAN"S LATEST LETTER:
We go to this park in Sunnyside a lot to contact people, called Central Park.  My first day here, Elder Dahlberg and I were just talking to people in the park, and the first person we talked to was a man named Renee and his girlfriend Lorena.  He's been out of work for almost a year and is having a really hard time.  We taught them the first lesson and talked for about 2 hours.  They seriously LOVED IT.  We got them to pray with us right there, like 3 different times, gave them a copy of the Book of Mormon, and soft-committed them to be baptized!  When we were reading the Book or Mormon, and we opened to 1 Nefi, he said that he know someone named Nefi from high school, and how he'd always been a good example and a nice guy, even when bad things happened to him, like his cousin dying.)  Well, he was talking about a less-active member of our branch named Nefi A.  Anyway, we didn't hear from Renee because he doesn't have a cellphone, until yesterday.  (this is where it gets really cool)  We ate dinner at the A's last night, and were talking to Nefi about Renee.  We invited Nefi to come with us when we teach Renee (we're hoping it will help him become active in the branch, as well as give Renee more support)  So, I think that Nefi really wants to help now, which is awesome!  Anyways, still cooler-Nefi pointed us to where Renee's house is.  So, Elder Dahlberg and I stopped by and talked to him for the first time in like 6 days.  He not only has read the first 5 pages of the BOM, but he even went to Walmart and bought his own Bible, because we said that they go hand in hand.  He said he's been praying too, and his relationship with his pretty fractured family has been getting a lot better lately.  Before we could even ask about church, he apologized for not being able to make it on Sunday because he was helping his sister move.  Anyway, it was just crazy!  He's REALLY been prepared to receive the Gospel.  Elder Dahlberg calls me his "Miracle Boy" because of the stuff like that that's been happening lately.  Ha-we've had great success in finding and teaching people, and I wish that I had time to write about all of the miracles that we've been seeing here and the solid people that want to know the truth and receive the ordinances.  Tons of other cool things have happened this week too; from showing little kids at church the "Juan Diaz Ring Trick", to eating at this awesome Mongolian Grill, to getting a following of kids at the park by doing backflips for them, to having a 13 year old Jehovah's Witness try to teach us (Haha-that was funny), to giving a couple who are trying to quit smoking and are on date for baptism pictures of Jesus to put in their wallets, so when they go to buy cigarettes, they can remember that He and we are on their team.
